ISFP guidelines for endorsement of scientific meetings
An important undertaking of the ISFP is advance the cause of science and education by disseminating information on fertility preservation as soon as it becomes available and to as many people as possible. To this aim, ISFP offers official endorsement of scientific and educational activities to support medical education in the field, organized by:
- National/local scientific societies
- Individual ISFP members
- International societies
- Other sister societies
The applicant has to be a current ISFP member.
Endorsement by the ISFP will only be given if the board is able to oversee and participate in establishing the scientific program. ISFP speaker support must include one of the following modalities:
- Endorsement with one ISFP board member speaker
- Joint session at the meeting with at least 50% of ISFP board member speakers
- ISFP session at the meeting with only ISFP board member speakers
For joint sessions and ISFP sessions, an ISFP board member representative will be designated as contact person and will be involved in the preparation of scientific program.
Both in-person and virtual meeting are applicable for ISFP endorsement. All endorsement applications are reviewed and approved by the board of the directors and should be separated from the society’s own biennial meeting by at least three months.
ISFP input:
- The ISFP logo will be provided for program and flyers advertising the event
- Promotion of the event on ISFP website to increase its visibility
- Assistance in establishing the scientific program
- ISFP board member speaker representing the society, sharing his/her expertise in the field and promote ISFP mission, activities and membership
Local organizer input:
- Economic support for ISFP board member speaker (to be decided upon each individual case)
- Preparation of the scientific program in accordance with the submitted proposal
- Waiver of registrations fees for ISFP board members (to be decided upon each individual case)
- Display of ISFP logo in meeting materials
Applications should be sent via mail to the ISFP office at least 3 months before the proposed date of the meeting and in any case before the final draft of the scientific program.
The results of the evaluation and a proposition of scientific/economic plan will be communicated by ISFP to the applicant for final acceptance.
